einfach unglaublich....

You might laugh, but sometimes “Hausnummern” are not a bad idea at all. I can give you a funny story from Asia. I am travelling to Tokyo regulary. Unfortunately there are no “Hausnummern” at all and in addition only major roads have names. Therefore: Going to a special building means for you to know the name of the district you wanna go and the name of the architect of the building, because buildings are ususlly named after the architect. So far so good. But usually it appears, that -lets call the architect Mr. Toranaga- has build slightly more than one building in that district...So where do u go?
No cabbie can help you out. So you have to give him a telefon number of the contact you want to go to. He then calls this contact and asks how to go there....I can tell u, I had already some funny stories going with a cab through Tokyo and find a certain place and I wished I had the good old german “Hausnummer” at hand...:-)))
